Open source configuration management tools

Here are a couple tools that might be of interest if you are looking for open source configuration management and/or CMDB solutions.

Update: someone noted that there is already a Wikipedia article on this. So I'll probably not keep this alive.

I'd note that most of these tools appear to be sysadmin element management focused on the most common platforms; no Tandem, iSeries, or mainframe. They do not appear generally to be concerned with enterprise configuration management in the sense of maintaining accurate inventories and interdependencies, nor do I see direct integration with Change, Incident, Problem, and other processes. Not sure if they do much for the DBAs, either.

Hi Charlie,
Shameless plug on my part but ... Can you also list ControlTier? At it's heart is a metadata and release artifact repository, used through out automated application build and release processes. The metadata is used to describe not only physical configuration such as node to service, service to package dependencies, along with setting data for each, but also logical dependencies - like those that describe the software system structure (service to service dependencies and groupings).
The automation code is data driven and exploits the metadata model during the various steps of the release process. The logical structure aids the coordinated remote execution of steps while the physical model layer drives the file distribution and post installation customizations of each application component.
thanks Alex
