Greetings all,
I think I sent my final book corrections to the production team today. It's been quite a journey, and I am looking forward to publication in the November time frame.
The final title:
Architecture and Patterns for
IT Service Management,
Resource Planning, and
Governance
Making Shoes for the Cobbler's Children
Amsterdam, Elsevier, 2007
ISBN13: 978-0-12-370593-8
ISBN10: 0-12-370593-2
(What's with the double ISBN #s?)
I've been slowly digging out around the house and mulling over what to do with my newfound spare time; starting more regular posting here is of course a priority, along with a long-promised redesign. I've actually fallen behind in even reading about current events in this domain, and the IT Skeptic has been posting a number of things in particular about CMDBs that merit some response.
(In my spare time I recently contributed to the Mary Tyler Moore and Pink Panther Wikipedia entries, just in case anyone was wondering if I have a life...)
I'm still not entirely content with the blog format for more in-depth online writing; this has never been a completely stream of consciousness effort, and while the more newsy posts are good for a blog the more in depth thought pieces seem a bit constrained. But I can't quite put my finger on it.
