Friends, and colleagues who care:
My mother passed away yesterday (April 9th) at 4 AM, of complications from a recurrence of abdominal cancer. She was well attended by friends and family throughout her final passage, which was peaceful. She was conscious of her loved ones through her last day of life, which was a great blessing. We are eternally grateful to the hospice staff at The Gathering at Boutwells Landing.
Here is her obituary as it will run in the metro Twin Cities papers this Sunday:

Charlie, I remember the passing of my mother as one of the most painful happenings of my life. Such passings leave holes in our lives that nothing can fill. I do not know the beliefs of you and your family, but take the reference to eternal gratitude to imply a belief in a life beyond this one. I take the liberty, therefore, of praying that the eternal God and Father will comfort you with a knowledge of better things to come, and with a knowledge that your mother's obviously rich and beloved life has laid a strong foundation for generations to come.
God Bless, and forgive my fumbling,
Ian
